There are approximately 15 million Americans and Canadians on file in the MIB's computer database, and over 750 insurance firms use the services of the MIB to obtain information about life insurance and individual health insurance policy applicants. The MIB does not have a file on everyone, but if your medical information is on file, you will want to be sure the information is correct. MIB will provide consumers with copies of their MIB consumer file annually without charge.
