Groundbreakers in south dakota personal injury and criminal law

Throughout his career, founding attorney Greg Eiesland has been instrumental in many important and pivotal cases in South Dakota. On behalf of his clients, he won the first seven-figure verdict in a personal injury case in the state. His cases have set precedent, including one that struck down sovereign immunity for South Dakota and another that allowed victims to recover punitive damages when injured by a drunk driver. Above all, he is passionate about his work because he believes strongly in holding wrongdoers accountable.

Robbie Rohl has helped shape the landscape of South Dakota’s 4th Amendment search and seizure law for DUI cases. He successfully argued for his client, Eric Medicine, that the DUI Advisement cards utilized, at the time, by Rapid City Police Officers were unlawfully coercive and used in violation of the 4th Amendment. The advisement cards are no longer used. See State v. Medicine, 2015 S.D. 45
